WTS! Depression.You can make a difference!


Well if you have done the wts! activity on my last post than you know what it is
like to be depressed or at least what triggers your sad mood. If you did not read that post well I asked that the person make themselves cry. Very reasonable way to
understand oneself and what triggers these emotions.
The best way to trigger these emotions are with memories
of times that you have felt pain. Like the loss of a loved one, a trauma of abuse you
have suffered or someone else has, or just the memory or picture of someone crying
which you imitate. When you successfully completed the activity you are one
step closer to controlling your emotions or at least understand them. This is a way
to fight depression, by changing those pictures or memories that trigger your wts!
mood of the lonely star. So instead picturing a wts! lonely star
envision a wts! star with all the others of millions that surround it and is not
lonely. Instead of feeling worthless feel valuable. On my next post I will
be a little more personal and explain my experience with this topic but now its
time for a WTS! Activity.
If you are having thoughts your suicide hotline, I really don't know if that works
but try out my activity it might help.

WTS! ACTIVITY: Well you've cried and you felt pulled down. Now it is time to
relax and clear your mind. I want you to get a candle of a vibrant color that you
really like. If you don’t have one go and buy one.(WTS! activities are to make
time for yourself, to help others.)You can do this in your imagination but the point
is to manifest that which is in your mind. Moving on.
When your home during the night look at the beautiful light that lights up your
home and how you appreciate it, think of how you appreciate it.
Your going to be lighting up your candle pretty soon in a quiet relaxing place.
So I want you to look at that candle and see how its already beautiful because
of the color you chose but look at it as incomplete because it still missing
its purpose, its reason and that is to provide light. A sad little candle meant
to be lit up just looks so empty turned off. That is what it is like when you are
depressed. Your missing that light with in. So now I want you to find the perfect
place and say to the light that you have the answer to its sadness. I want you
to think of someone whether it be you who is depressed or someone you might
not know who is thinking about ending their life because they are empty with
in. Missing that light that gives off warmth. Now look at the fire that you hold
and share it with the candle who represents someone whom you feel
needs warmth. When that is done turn off your homes light and just meditate
and think about the lit up candle. Think on that what the star moment when
you gave light to that candle whose purpose was to have light. Sharing that
light is what wts! is about. It is about sharing what and being appreciative.
Receiving and giving. Enjoying and give others joy. Sorrow does not have to last
forever. Now after you have your lit candle jus sit and enjoy for about 10 minutes
or however long you wish just enjoying the light seeing it in many ways.
Give it meaning. The moment you first saw it, and think of the future when it
will no longer be with you. But do not grieve about it rather enjoy every second.
Making the moment last.
